Dr. Spence Dixon is a South Carolina native who grew up in Orangeburg. He attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, where he was a Benjamin Wofford Scholar, president of the Kappa Alpha Order, and a member of the tennis team. Upon graduation, Spence moved to Charleston to attend the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine. It was there that he met his wife Joy, who also graduated from MUSC College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Dixon graduated as valedictorian of his dental class.
After dental school, he was accepted into the Medical College of Virginia orthodontic residency program, widely regarded as one of the top programs in the nation. He received excellent orthodontic training and obtained his orthodontic certification and master’s degree. Dr. Dixon received extensive experience with difficult interdisciplinary cases as a former member of the VCU Craniofacial/Facial Reconstruction Team. His orthodontic training includes Invisalign® certification and experience with all the latest orthodontic technologies.
In his spare time, Dr. Dixon loves to travel, fish, hunt, and play golf. However, these days there is nothing more he enjoys than spending time with his wife Joy and his four children, Spencer, Grace, Annie, and Grant.
